What better way to get in the mood for fall and embrace the season than with a fall photoshoot. My friend Adrianne owns a wedding rental company called Winstons Table Curation in Vancouver BC. She invited me to collaborate with her and pastry chef and food stylist, Erin Girard on a fall photoshoot.

The results were beautiful. Lots of inspiration for your Thanksgiving table!

Adrianne chose a beautiful gingham tablecloth and rich woodsy brown linen napkins to create a warm and inviting table setting. I love the repetition of the brown with the bentwood chairs, scalloped wooden chargers and brown candles. The brown elements really ground the whole scene which was shot in Brookswood park in Langley Township.

Elegant gold rimmed wine glasses, antique metal candle holders, patterned silver cutlery and simple white plates seamlessly blends a modern palette with vintage and traditional details.

The floral arrangements were made in ceramic bowls and garden blooms from Adrianne’s garden with the addition of fresh blooms from the shop. I chose lovely brown coloured lisianthus, apricot dahlias, burgundy cotinus and oak leaves to compliment the garden blooms. I love how these came together! So much texture and fall colour. With the addition of some specialty pumpkins from Donia Farms, the table was ready for the photoshoot!

A second vignette of a dessert buffet on a brown vintage sideboard showcases the artistic talents of pastry chef and food stylist Erin Girard. A delicious cake, topped with fresh plums and figs, and a pecan pie (my fav!) were set on vintage and modern cake plates. Nestled in amongst more brown vintage bottles and vessels, sweet bags of popped corn, cookies and donuts add to the fall treats.

Styling shoots are always so much fun, and I loved being a part of this sweet fall setup. Thanks Adrianne and Erin!
